Neutering program
As of June 2024, APAA ended its stray cat neutering program, which has been running since 2011.
Aegina Cat Care (ACC), a newly formed cat charity on the island, has taken over the program, working with cat groups in different villages to help control the stray cat population. APAA is very pleased to hand over the program to ACC. We have been working with them for the past year and feel confident they are in the right position to take this on. We thank all of the charities that have supported our program and all of the people of Aegina and Agistri who have brought in thousands of cats to be neutered. APAA will of course always try to help in an emergency situation.
